  • Make your own St.Patrick's Day, Easter or Mother's Day greeting card with a button cut-out - your recipient can then detach and wear your fun button.

  • As part of your button business or to earn extra cash, sell St. Patrick's Day button key chains or purse mirrors at a craft booth or even from your home.

  • Shape a festive St. Patrick's Day wreath of green fabrics and white lace, and adorn the wreath with buttons or photo buttons.

  • In school, teachers can use button-making as an art project. Allow the kids to color or draw their artwork and give to Mom for Mother's Day, or to Dad on Father's Day.

  • Let younger students make Mother's or Father's Day refrigerator magnets with an actual drawing or painting to take home. Now their masterpieces can both be showcased on the fridge under a magnet that says, "Billy's Great Work."

  • Put a rosette and streamers on "Mother of the Year" or "Father of the Year" buttons for kids to reward their special parent.

  • Remind your class or family to recycle by making "I Recycle" buttons and magnets. Be sure to wear them on Earth Day.

  • Make a hanging button picture frame of all the grandchildren by pinning each child's photo button to a decorated piece of material. Add a bow to the top, and you have a treasured Mother's Day or Father's Day present!
