WOW! Students and Staff Donate for Hurricane Relief!
LaSalle-Peru (Illinois Valley) students and staff collected $3,100 for victims of Hurricane Katrina. The collection was a combined effort of the Student Council, Luke Yaklich's classes and proceeds of hurricane button sales from Jen Plym's classes. The funds were given to the Red Cross. Also, the LPHS Council of the AFT Local 604 donated $100 through the AFT (American Federation of Teachers). The buttons were donated by Badge-A-Minit.
