December's Hot Button of the Month Contest Winner is... Gina Johnson from Operation Home Ties in Woburn MA.. Gina created these "Home of the Free" buttons to give away when she exhibits her Operation: Home Ties Tribute Portrait Wall and parade float to honor the memory of military men and women.

"It has been my volunteer mission for the last seven years to replace every fallen hero's name (starting with my home state) with a detailed pencil portrait so that ou can look each of them in the eyes and have their image etched in your heart and mind," said Gina. "We should always remember that we remain Home of the Free because of the Brave."

Gina notes that also makes and presents the families with buttons that havae their son's or daughter's portrait image on it, which they proudly wear and talk about to help in the healing process.

As the Hot Button of the Month winner, Gina received a $100 Badge-A-Minit gift certificate.

Jonah Rawls from Ray & Rawls Corporation in Tampa, FL, submitted this "Save Our Earth - Stop Pollution" button because he wants to help save the world. Jonah notes that more people have started recycling in his community.
Breast Cancer Awareness
Jacob Banfield from Pine View Middle School in Land O'Lakes, FL, designed this button to help promote breast cancer awareness. Jacob noted that a lot of people have learned more about and donated to the cause.
I Believe In Heroes
Ryan Mitchell from Land O'Lakes, FL, designed this button to promote the Wounded Warriors cause and to encourage more people to support and donate to the organization.
Hounds for Heroes
This "Hounds for Heroes" button was submitted by Devin De Jesus of Pine View Middle School in Land O'Lakes, FL. The button helps promote the Hounds for Heroes organization, which provides specially trained dogs to help war veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder. Devin noted that the button has helped his school raise $700 towards a $1000 goal for the cause.
