Carissa Schmidt, a JW Mitchell High School Band Booster from New Port Richey, FL, designed this button so people know whose mom she is! "We have the largest band in our county, with approximately 130 students," she said. "When we get new students each year, they have to learn all the new faces. I made this button so they know whose mom I am!" Carissa noted that while the button may have embarrassed her daughter a bit, the other kids and their moms love it! "I have had sooo many requests for the pins. In fact, the kids in my daughter's band section all want pins that say 'Proud section of...' with my daughter's pic on it!"
