A new police station was the goal of this button, submitted by Herschel Fullerton from Walla Walla, WA. (Don't you just love saying "walla walla"?) The Citizens for a New Police Station Committee made 2000 of these buttons to hand out at various functions. They also went door-to-door to pass them out while informing people about the bond issue on the August primary ballot to build a new police station. "The people wore them, and sure enough, the proposition won!" said Herschel. A new police station will soon be in the works!
