The Hastings Earth Club has been creating buttons to promote their group for the past 10 years or so, according to Phyllis Steffek from Houston, Texas, who submitted this entry. Each year, the club creates a button to give to faculty and staff members at Hastings High School. The group members also give buttons to second graders at Youens Elementary when they go there to tallk to the students about protecting the earth. Phyllis says that the buttons go over well, "The faculty love getting the buttons. Some have all of the buttons we've made. And the children enjoy wearing their buttons as well."
