November 2008 Hot Button Winners

Congrats to our
November Hot Button of the Month Winner!

November's Hot Button of the Month Contest Winner is…Nornie Walsh from Syracuse, NY. Nornie's "Adoption ~ Love" button shows how buttons can be used to raise awareness and celebrate at the same time!

Nornie works with the Onondaga County Courthouse and the court system celebrates National Adoption Day in November to raise awareness of children in need of a home and family, especially those children placed in foster care. For the entire month, a "Heart Gallery" of photos of pre-teens and teens who are in foster care and have been freed for adoption is on display at the courthouse.

On National Adoption Day, a ceremony is held with speakers and special guests, and then official adoptions take place (this year 37 adoptions were celebrated). Each person who attends or is part of the ceremony - 250+ people - receives a button to wear to help promote a simple but strong message: Adoption ~ Love.

As the Hot Button of the Month winner, Nornie received a $100 Badge-A-Minit gift certificate.
Five original buttons have been awarded the title of Badge-A-Minit November 2008 Hot Button! This month's entries contained lots of upbeat political buttons heralding the new U.S. president-elect - it was very hard to hard to choose among them! Other button topics ranged from pretty designs to costumed kids to support of good causes. Hope you enjoy viewing the winners! Winners receive a coupon for 10% off their next purchase at Badge-A-Minit.com.
